Juniperus indica Bertoloni 1862
Common NamesTaxonomic notesSyn.: Juniperus wallichiana Hook. f. et Thomson in Brandis 1874. Although formerly treated as a synonym of Juniperus pseudosabina, RAPD analysis has shown it to be quite distinct from that taxon (Adams and Turuspekov 1998). See J. pseudosabina and Adams and Turuspekov (1998) for remarks on the relationship between J. indica and other central Asian / Himalayan junipers.
