Jacks.) Melville 1959 (syn.: J. coxii; Sabina recurva var. coxii (Farjon 2005). Description"A shrub or up to 10 m high tree. Crown broadly conical. Branches spreading and slightly recurved. Branchlets pendulous. Bark gray-brown, peeling off in thin strips. Foliage needle-like, in whorls of 3, 3-6 mm long, up to 1 mm wide, sharply pointed, with 2 white bands above. Male and female flowers on the same or on different trees. Fruit ovate, 8-10 mm long, dark purplish-brown, ripening in the second year. Seed solitary" (Vidakovic 1991).
