Leaves arranged as in L. plumosa, but larger, the lateral pairs much larger than the facial pairs, thick in texture, appressed and overlapping, slightly curved, the apex blunt, margins strongly recurved; the facial pairs ending in a short, triangular, blunt point" (Dallimore et al. 1967).
